UKMHA Re-accreditaiton
25 October 2023
HFT is amongst the first in the UK to achieve audit re-certification status of the country’s foremost authority on material handling: the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA).
The certification recognises companies pioneering the highest standards in the industry and follows a rigorous audit. Evaluated via a 100 point assessment, compliance is verified across all areas of the business, including health and safety, risk management and environmental policy.
UKMHA Compliance Manager Lee Medway, who carried out the audit, explains why the process is so important:
“The audit is designed to give customers real peace of mind. As an audit re-accredited company, customers know that HFT has measured up to a stringent industry-led health check and operates impressive health & safety policies and working practices.”
Accepting certification Rachel Payne said: “The UKMHA re-certification audit is a very welcome part of our continuous improvement scheme and allows us to analyse our operations even further. It presented us with an opportunity to stand back, take stock and work even more effectively on behalf of our customers - something we always strive for. Achieving re-certification helps eliminate customers’ risk of any weak link in the supply chain of traceability and accountability and we are very proud to have achieved the required standards.”
The UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) is the UK’s leading independent authority on all aspects of material handling equipment. It provides expert, independent information and advice on best practice and safe operation to both owners and operators of handling equipment and those within the industry, including dealers, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers of ancillary equipment.
UKMHA members work to the industry’s most demanding code of practice, so you can be assured they’re working to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
