ITSSAR Registered Instructor
For companies with a high number of forklift operators, it makes sense to have your own lift truck instructor in-house.
This course will equip trainees to develop their own lift truck training courses and instruct potential operators in how to use forklifts in a safe and efficient way to the standards set out by ITSSAR and the Health & Safety Executive's Approved Code of Practice (L117).
Each successful candidate will become a CAT 1 registered ITSSAR Instructor. Registration lasts for 5 years before needing to have their skills verified at a shorted, re-registration course.
Please Note: To take part in the course, potential instructors must produce a recent certificate (6 months or less) of basic operating skills, along with a letter from an employer to confirm recent lift truck experience.
Course Duration: 10 day instructor training course; 4-5 day instructor re-registration course.
